Flying Lessons & The Frazil Factory

(originally published February 2nd, 2016)

Late in July, Ben and the kids were having fun on a Sunday evening.  At one point, Ben told Jack that he was going to give him flying lessons.  He stood at the arm of the long couch in the family room and launched Jack onto the couch.  Unfortunately, Jack kneed himself and ended up with an impressive, self-inflicted black eye.  Next time, we'll remind him not to tuck.

Soon after The Incident

About 18 hours later.
I was naive enough to think that the black eye might be better before a big family reunion we had about a week later, but it took a little longer before he looked normal again - probably about 2-3 weeks.

The next day, I took the kids up to Draper to meet Ben at the Frazil Factory.  Sam, one of Ben's classmates in the MBA program, is an executive at Frazil and had been asking Ben when he (Sam) could give us a tour.  We finally made it up there and loved it.  It was really interesting to learn more about how the mixes are made and see the equipment up close.  Of course, the best part of the tour was the end when Sam insisted on everyone sampling each of the flavors in the employee Frazil room.  Then we could choose whatever flavor(s) we wanted, fill up a full-size refillable cup, and enjoy it on the way home.  Tigers Blood was the best (Eliza will back me up on this), but the others were pretty good too.
