Just a few things to share this week, and some cute little videos.
- We're getting two eggs just about every day thanks to Dixie and Ms. Felix!
- Dixie is bullying the other hens, obviously establishing herself as the top of the pecking order. If we're bringing treats to the chickens, we need to hold Dixie back so that everyone else can get their share.
- Bandit's limp is almost completely gone, and now he's become more aggressive again. Time to kick up the snuggles.
- Jack's at-home assignment for his fitness class is often "Complete 30 minutes of activity." On Monday he decided that taking a chicken for a walk should be part of his 30 minutes. Ms. Felix had other ideas.
- Since the chickens like raspberries and blackberries so much, it makes sense that they would also like blueberries. Jack proved this is true with a bunch of blueberries we had that had gone bad.
- We often see the chickens hanging out on the back patio, outside of the glass doors. Jack and Eliza had fun making this little video from the family room, looking out at the chickens.
