Cat is so awesome. I laugh when she does teenager things like the day I suggested she brush her hair and she said she'd styled it that way on purpose; or how she found an old t-shirt of mine and wanted me to give it to her because "This is what people look for in thrift stores!" (and then got several compliments on it from her friends).
Speaking of thrifting, she was really excited to look for some clothes at a local thrift store recently and then she scored this awesome dress that will be perfect for school dances (once that's a thing again)!
I love that she has her own style and is so comfortable in her own skin!
Cat is really into cooking these days, especially RAMEN! Which nobody else in the house complains about because she usually makes enough to share. And it's really yummy.
Cat has been wanting AirPods for... as long as AirPods have been around. Then yesterday her good friend was at a liquidation store and texted her that they had AirPods for 45% off the original price, so I told Cat she should buy them. Sure enough, we drove down there and they still had a few pairs left, so Cat got herself some. She was SO HAPPY! This is an actual picture of Cat listening to music for the first time, using her fancy new AirPods.
Cat is hooked on The Office and watches at least some pretty much every day. But she's getting good grades, and was inducted into National Honor Society last night! The induction was a 15-minute YouTube live video, which was great, but a bit anticlimactic. (Notice the photo she submitted of herself.)
