Bandit isn't crowing as much, he's less aggressive
On Saturday evening Suz noticed that Bandit was limping. Upon closer inspection, it appeared he had some kind of cut on one of his legs. Ben gave him some antibiotic ointment and we sent him on his way, sure that he'd be healed in a few days. I'm writing this almost 3 weeks later and sadly, he's still limping.
Also Saturday night, Ben found our first egg, a double-yolker!
Jack started reading to the chickens as they relaxed
in their favorite patch of dirt, right outside of Cat's window.
After that first egg, we had one almost every day.
I was excited that I found my first one at the end of the week.
We noticed this week that Bandit wasn't as aggressive
and he was crowing less.
Jack loves all the chickens, but Ms. Felix will always be
his. He was excited that he got her to perch on his shoulder,
and later she gave him a "hug" when he held her.
