More from Spring Break

We wanted the kids to help with Spring Cleaning last week and knew it would be a bad day if we waited to do all the work on Saturday, so I came up with a few ideas to try to motivate the kids to do at least some of it earlier.  It worked for three of the kids.  (Cat not pictured.)

Luke still isn't interested in riding a bike.
I guess as long as he has his pool noodle, he doesn't have to.

Jack and Eliza came up with a new game that's kind of baseball/kickballish,
but much more entertaining as you get to hear random words called out -
Whirlpool! Jail! Safe! Lollipop! Groundhog! -
as if the participants all have Tourettes or are reading out a nonsense email from this TED talk.

We paid a socially distant visit to cousins to wish John Morgan a happy birthday -
the visit included a gift, a dance (The Macarena, which we practiced diligently
in the car on the way over) and some chit-chat via yelling across the lawn.  A very intimate visit.

Luke has his first loose tooth!  Ben tried unsuccessfully to pull it out.

Jack's new favorite bike is the one that has been owned by all 3 of the younger kids
but which Luke has outgrown (not that he rode it anyway).

Spot It: Rediscovered

One of Cat's new favorite things: CrashCourse videos on YouTube.

My sister set up a Zoom meeting for the grandkids in my family which included
all but the oldest and youngest cousins, joining in from California, Utah, South
Carolina, and Argentina.  It was great to see and talk to everyone!

Cat enjoys sharing her collection of funny videos.

Cat is running for student council and asked me to film her speech for her.
So, naturally...

Luke picked up one of these cute bugs a woman in our ward made and left
out for kids who were out on a walk that day.

The same woman also loaned us this cute Mickey waffle-maker
for our Disney week, so we had one more Disney meal Saturday morning.

Final Spring Cleaning on Saturday:

The kids got all their work done!  The reward was a trip to our local
discount theater, which has converted to a drive-in while the world
is dealing with COVID-19.  We had fun watching "How to Train Your Dragon."
