We came home from Bryce Canyon and spent the next couple of days of Spring Break hanging out and doing things around the house.

Reading, and relaxing... |
Eliza was knee-deep in Keepers of the Lost City so she did the most reading. |
Jack and Luke found sidewalk chalk and entertained themselves outside for a while.
Luke finally tried fencing and loved it! |
We took care of a neighbor's kids for a couple of hours on Thursday and Eliza and Lily did makeup. |
Then, that night I picked up a special visitor at the airport after choir rehearsal. Drew came to spend her Spring Break with us! |
We took advantage of my kids' last day of Spring Break by going to the Clark Planetarium
in Salt Lake City. We had plenty of time to try out the various exhibits before watching a
3D movie about oceans. Then we got lunch at In-N-Out especially for Drew.

Sleeping Queens in the afternoon |
That night Cat's friends invited her and Drew to go to a Jazz game. They took the Frontrunner train up to SLC and had lots of fun in the most economical seats (actually, standing-room-only area) available. Coincidentally, and comically, Ben and I were offered tickets by a business associate, on the fourth row, within sight of special guests recent VMA winner Olivia Rodrigo and former Jazz legend Carlos Boozer (can you spot them in the second picture?). It was fun to be there at the same time as the kids and meet up afterward so we could drive everyone home.
While Drew spent the day with a good friend on Saturday, Ben and I took the boys to run some errands, which included picking something up at the mall. This was made more palatable by stopping at the mall's little arcade for a bit. |
On Sunday, Ben got everyone to SLC for Music and the Spoken Word. |
While I had rehearsal, they toured the Conference Center. Then we drove to the Capitol to see the cherry blossoms. |
In the afternoon, the girls helped me make yummy cream puffs. |
And a few rounds of Heads Up before bedtime. |
Drew took the shuttle to St. George to spend a couple of days with Suz and her family, Monday morning until Wednesday morning. (Unfortunately, while she was gone, she missed a spring snow storm at our house, snow being something she doesn't see a lot of in South Carolina.) That afternoon, we went to Riverwoods for dinner at Waffle Love and fun at Provo Beach Resort.

Luke was a pretty good bowler. |
Eliza knocked down fewer pins but she did it with flair. |
I don't have any pictures from the last two days of Drew's visit but they included a trip to the aquarium with Cat, more time with her good friend who used to live in SC but lives here now, and some solid teenager sleep time. I took Drew to the airport on Saturday morning so she would be back with her family for Easter. It was a great visit!
