Wednesday was the most adventurous day we had. In the morning, we were thankful for clouds and a little bit of rain that dampened the dirt trails at Wasatch Mountain State Park, making them less dusty. In the afternoon, we were cold and soaked rafting on the Provo River in the (light) rain.
Renting UTV's was so much fun for everyone! We successfully navigated the state park, seeing beautiful scenery - including great views of the Heber Valley and a MOOSE - and getting plenty wet and dirty along the way. We had a scare when one of the side-by-sides was driving through a cloud of dust and couldn't see that the trail split to go around a little hill. They ended up tipping over, but nobody was hurt and the damage to the vehicle was minimal.

I LOVE this picture of the cousins (only missing Sydney since she was with a sitter). |

The temperature of the Provo River is usually in the 40s, but we were more worried about the chilly air temperature, the cloudiness and light rain when we went rafting in the afternoon. I grabbed jackets and sweatshirts from my house to try to outfit everyone who needed an extra layer (because they were expecting hot, sunny weather when they packed!), but we were still cold. I'm so glad we didn't cancel, though, because everyone had a lot of fun, in spite of the cold. (And we saw a couple of beavers/otters - I can never tell which - which was super cool.)
Back at the house that evening, Suz made a delicious Asian dinner, and Andy and Amy put on a fun trivia game. Then the cousins stayed up even later to watch a movie.

Megan, the biggest Bon Jovi fan I know, just missed the chance to answer a question about a Bon Jovi song. |
