Family Reunion! Part 1

The unofficial beginning of the reunion was Saturday afternoon, when Whit was baptized by his father on the Jordan River.  It was beautiful!  In order to prevent the two sides of Whit's family from sharing germs, some people witnessed the baptism in person while others watched Whit's grandmother eating a sandwich on Zoom.

We moved into the reunion house later that evening.  Spikeball was an immediate hit, with partnerships, competitions, and a tracking method evolving by the end of the evening.  Luke chose a more relaxing pastime for the evening.

Sydney was popular everywhere she went.
Here she is with cute Drew.

Cheerwine with yummy grilled dinner by Andy and Amy!
Sydney approved of the Cheerwine.
And the Crumbl cookies.

And the arcade game.

Luke spent a lot of time playing on the arcade game.

Cat and Weston, and many other children, got some exercise in the workout room.

Will showed off some stellar cheffing skills,
including making pasta from scratch for Sunday's lasagna.
Late night + Chocolate treats + Good chats

Sunday morning in the backyard.
Ben was in charge of breakfast.
He said this is a picture of bacon, with people in the background.

Reunion-Church was very sweet, with Cat and Colin sharing spiritual
thoughts and Whit giving a talk about his baptism the day before.
Pictionary was a hit Sunday afternoon.

Cat wasn't challenged enough, drawing a fish.
Chickens are close to Jack's heart, so I don't think he minded.

Boys' team wins!
We also had a birthday party for Whit, which included
games, a pinata, and cupcakes.

THE COUCH GAME*!  So fun.
We did family pictures on Sunday night,
which meant Amy straightened Eliza's hair,
which meant selfie time.

Megan was another satisfied customer at The Amy Salon.

Sunday evening pictures at Ron Last Park in the Riverwoods Mall area of Provo.

*Instructions for The Couch Game: With a group of at least 12 people, everyone sits in a circle.  Count off so that everyone has a number.  Keep the number throughout the game.  One person goes into the center of the circle and closes his/her eyes.  The person in the middle then calls out two numbers and the people with those numbers try to move to a new seat (trading places or using the seat of the person in the middle) without getting tagged by the person in the middle.  If the person in the middle tags someone, that person becomes the new person in the middle.  If the person in the middle does not tag either of the people moving, then the person in the middle has to close his/her eyes and call out three numbers.  The game repeats itself, adding another person to the group having to move seats, until the person in the middle tages someone.
