Last Week

Last week was really nice; it was pretty low-key, and spent mostly at home. Here are a few things we did.

On Monday morning we had Weeding & Reading time: listening to The Horse and His Boy while weeding the garden, then spending some time just reading in the shade.

I couldn't tell you much about what we did on Tuesday, except that at one point I looked up from the kitchen table to see this:

On Wednesday morning, cousins came over for water play.

On Thursday, Luke's best friend from school and his sister, who's a friend of Eliza's, came over to play for a couple of hours. Then Eliza and Luke went to their house to play.

That night a friend of mine who does hair came over and cut hair for 5/6 of us. She was at our house for over 2 hours.

After our writing time on Friday, the kids made (overdue) cards for their cousins who graduated this year.

On Saturday we had a fun cousin visit at M&K's house with ribs and hot dogs and such, and lots of water play, and some inside LEGO and video game play too.

Suz's family arrived back at our house Saturday afternoon and I loved walking downstairs Sunday morning and seeing this:
