| 8th Grade Cat is now able to walk to and from school, which is great, since she prefers to be nice and early and the rest of us aren't good at making that happen for her. |

| 5th Grade Jack wasn't happy about going to a new school, and still doesn't really like the school with it's higher academic standards and his lack of friends, but he's hanging in there. |

| 3rd Grade Eliza also wasn't excited about changing schools and doesn't like that the new school has "more rules," but she's made some good friends and loves her teacher, so we're thankful for that. |

In other news, Cat got braces on the second day of school. She'd been looking forward to this day for years and was pretty excited that it was finally time. She was really sore for a few days but mostly hasn't had a problem with the braces. Her orthodontist said she should have them on for about a year and a half. Here she is before, during, and after the appointment:
