May Miscellany

Another (failed) attempt at kite-flying

A couple of projects from school - stained glass and a windsock

Mother's Day!  And yummy cake balls Eliza made.

The boys stayed home sick from school for a few days.
(It wasn't Covid or anything major, thank goodness.)

Luke wanted to use the treadmill, so I set him up going very slowly, with strict instructions
not to speed it up.  I went inside for a bit and while I was gone, Jack came out and
cranked up the speed.  Luke got a little banged up, but didn't require a doctor.

I brought Hei Hei to Luke's animal fair!  We weren't the only chicken
family showing off a feathered friend, but I think I was the only
chicken mama who had the chicken on a leash and brought
corn and other treats for the kids to feed her.

Eliza wanted me to stop by her classroom so her friends could meet Hei Hei too.

Ms. B was a little nervous to hold a chicken for the first time.

Reading time, and Luke chose a book from my childhood.
\
Luke brought this home from Activity Days. We laughed at the placement of
Luke's self-compliment, "I'm handsome and strong,"
and the following compliment of "You're funny." That ironic order
notwithstanding, I agree with all of the compliments on the page!

I don't remember why E took this picture, but, here you go.

During the last week of schoool, Eliza started a weekly bouldering class.
She loves it!

Walking the halls after cleaning the church.

This was Luke's room after he told me he'd cleaned and vacuumed it.
At least he cleaned and vacuumed the section in the middle, right?

Eliza has been taking more selfies since I started letting
her use my phone to text her friends at the end of the year.

A fun little circus under the big top!

A Sunday bike ride on a short mountain bike trail,
and the Provo River Parkway.
